Blue Darts Never Get Old!
Over Labor Day weekend we headed up the canyon for a night of camping with the Boliingers. We got to off road up to the camp site(courtesy of Mike)...and got there just in the nick of time as Leesa and the kids were just seconds away from getting terrorized by a black bear...or what others might call a deer.

We spent the night getting kicked by kids but it was a lot of fun. It rained all night so we woke up early and broke camp. We headed home and had a delicous breakfast..and a much needed nap.
A few weeks ago my brother and a few of his friends took a road trip from New Hampshire Northern Canada. On their way back they surprised us with a visit. It was great to see him, even if it was for only a few hours.

While they were here we BBQed and played a mean game of Blokus and "beans." I don't think he realized how happy he made me by stopping by. I hope he takes another road trip soon.

Park City Resort

Our work party was at the Park City Resort this year. Mike, Leesa, and kids came with which made it that much more enjoyable! Tracy loved the "speed racer" so we went on the Alpine Coaser a zillion times.

The kids got their faces painted. Tracy was the black spider man and Everett a panda. The cutest panda I've ever seen.

Aside from the alpine coaster we did the alpine slides and the kids did the carousel and the airplanes ride.

Three Years!

It's hard to believe that three years has already passed, yet at the same time it seems like so much more than that. Mike and I were happy to get to spend the evening together without the normal work/school agenda. He surprised me with flowers(we weren't doing presents since we went to Mexico in June) and then we went out to dinner. Since I couldn't think of anything better to eat then steak(I am my father's daughter) we went to the Outback for dinner. It was delicious! After dinner we made a pit stop at Cold Stone(another personal favorite) and then spent the evening watching old episodes of Friends. It was so nice to spend the night at home relaxing together. Breaking Dawn Release Party!

It's finally here!! It's amazing what one will do to get a copy of a good book. Friday night Liz, Leesa, Rachel, and I headed to the local release party for Stephenie Myers new book. The party itself was entertaining to say the least. Lots of prom dresses and the occasional guy dressed up as Edward. I was amazed at how many people showed up for their chance to get a head start.

We got our copies just after midnight and ran home to start reading. I was up til 4:30 AM Friday night and then picked it up again on Sat night to finish at 4 AM. The weekend resulted in a loss of sleep but it was so worth it. I loved the book and can't wait to read it again!

Our new niece is here and her name is SUMMER!

It has been an exciting day, Summer was born around twelve in the afternoon. She is beautiful and already full of Bollinger energy. Tracy is especially excited about his new baby sister.

Tracy enjoyed cuddling with his new sister...and I didn't mind either! Even Mike with his fear of new born babies fell in love.

Aside from our trips to the hospital we took the boys to the park for some volleyball and the playground. I have never seen them so dirty!

Vacation

VIVA MEXICO

A vacation is certainly what we needed. A week away without a computer, school book, or test. It was nice to relax on the beach and sleep in. We spent the week in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with friends of ours(Bri and Aaron Tanner) that live down the street.

The first few days we encountered some clouds and rain but over all it was great weather. When we weren't at the beach eating nachos or swimming we got in a few games of shuffle board and even a few NBA games...go Celtics! We spent one day in downtown Puerto Vallarta at the flea market and hit up the local Walmart..yes, they have Walmart everywhere and we always find it.

One of the evenings we took a boat ride to Caletas, a private beach that is only accesible by boat. We watched a show and had a candle lit dinner on the water. It was a nice change of scenery and the food was AMAZING! We even got good weather...except for a little bit of rain on the way there.
Unfortunately Mike got a sunburn so I got to swim solo for a most of the week....I will convert him to a swimmer yet! By the time the week was over all I wanted was a large diet coke(a week without was far too long...) and a double cheese burger from McDonalds..I have never looked over to a layover so much...and to my disappointment there was not a single fast food place in the whole terminal. No McDonald's..that's a first.
